Hi! My real name is Tiffany, but here I'm Shixam. Feel free to call me Shi. In the past I haven't been known as a very artistic person, but about a year ago one of my friends said I should make a doll. The type she meant was where you take a base someone has created out of pixels and you add hair, clothes, etc. I was a bit nervous to start and did get quiet frustrated, but I've found it to be very addicting. Most likely the only art I will have here will be my dolls, and my one good base
I'm 16 years old, and will be 17 on July 24th. This next school year I will be a high school senior. As for after that, I'm trying to convinvce my parents to let me go away to school. My plan is to go to College of the Siskiyous in Northern California. Right now I'm pretty much in between Northern and Southern California in a little city you've probably never heard of.
I like to make dolls (duh), sew, read, write a bit. Occasionally I play videogames if I'm in the mood. Sadly, I've only finished two. Pathetic? Yes.
Thanks. Sorry this is late . I got the account to look at something of my friend's and then forgot about it until someone mentioned it on a dolling forum. Apparently tracing bases is banned here, so I decided to give it a try and started registering until I had a vague memory of creating this. So anyway....yeah...any tips on getting around? I kind of feel like I'm just randomly splashing around right now.

So, yesterday....day before actually, I came to SA after many months. You see I made the account in March to watch my friend's Numa Numa thing and never came back until I was lurking on GLAM. You see, GLAM is a doll forum. It's kind of....elitist in my opinion, but there are nice people there. I just mean that you have to be known there to really get replies and to feel comfortable. I've posted topics in another forum and gotten more replies than on GLAM. One of my friends posted there with the same dolls she posted on the other site. The other site got 9 views, GLAM got 2. But yeah. A few GLAM members here. Don't want to piss them off so I'll move on.
Anyway, I do have an account on GLAM and I was lurking one day and saw a SA topic. I checked it out and one of the members had discovered that traced bases are banned here. I figured that meant it'd be easier to find good bases here, so I came straight from the topic. Well, I was using IE 6.0 and got a message about it being outdated and that stuff wouldn't work.
Well, stuff didn't. I could only click on the popular works of art and on the link to my profile. If I wanted to go anywhere else, I had to click on a piece of popular art, and then every other link would work. And now I have learned the solution!
Today I remembered that I have that Safari thing on my computer because of Apple and Ipod and blah blah blah. A while ago, I clicked to see what it was and learned it was just like IE, but looked a lot fancier (). So I decided to see what would happen if I used Safari instead. And here I am! AND I CAN CLICK ON STUFF! YAY!

I could only click on the popular works of art and on the link to my profile. If I wanted to go anywhere else, I had to click on a piece of popular art, and then every other link would work. And now I have learned the solution!
